Born and raised in San Jose, California, I grew up in the East Foothills near Alum Rock Park and attended San Jose State University where I earned a Bachelors Degree in Music. In Los Angeles, I attended The Dick Grove School Of Music and since then, I have composed, arranged or orchestrated music in many genres and areas of the music industry. I’ve had the opportunity to conduct a lot of that music with incredible musicians in some amazing and iconic studios in Los Angeles, London and Vienna; such a treat to be able to do that!
As a piano teacher, I work with students of all levels on standard and jazz repertoire, improvisation, composition, ear training, and theory. I bring my 30+ years of experience in the music industry to my lessons. From playing early piano recitals as a kid to conducting world-class studio orchestras, music has filled my life with rewarding experiences. I endeavor to bring that unique perspective to our lessons!
